TOURNAMENT INFORMATION

ABOUT TOMELLOSO THROWDOWN

Tomelloso Throwdown is a solidarity and inclusive tournament in which all profits go to non-profit associations.

The tournament was born in response to the need to help those who have been hardest hit by the pandemic. That is why we have worked with a lot of effort and heart during the last two years, to create an attractive event and thus obtain the maximum possible benefit.

For the second edition, from the organization of Tomelloso Throwdown it has been decided that the associations to which the benefits obtained from the inscriptions of the athletes will be donated are AFAS from Tomelloso and the Fundación Pequeño Deseo from Madrid.

Tomelloso Throwdown is the first Spanish tournament and one of the few in the world that has an adaptive category for athletes with functional diversity.

The purpose of the event is that any athlete who wants to be part of this good cause can participate.

In addition to the solidarity nature of the tournament, we want to reward the effort and work of the athletes. Therefore, if the contributions of the private sector allow it, prizes will be awarded to the top three in each category.

First edition of Tomelloso Throwdown was a success despite the difficult situation due to the Covid 19 that forced to make an event in online format that is less appealing to the athlete.

In sporting terms, we would like to highlight the participation of two athletes from the CrossFit Games, the largest competition of this sport worldwide. They were Lazar Djukic, winner of the first edition and ninth best athlete in the world in the Crossfit Games 2021, and Xabi Osa, our ambassador and fifth best athlete in the world in the Crossfit Games 2021 in the Upper Adaptive category.
